Blueline Media Safety was created by Officer Johnna Watson who retired as the Oakland Police Department's Public Information Officer (PIO) after serving the City of Oakland for over 30 years. Blueline Media Safety reflects Johnna’s 10+ years as the Oakland PD PIO and her dedicated efforts to collaborate with media professionals and design procedures to keep crews safe in the field from crimes against the media.
